Hepialus hectoides Boisduval, 1868
Phymatopus hectoides are members of the family Hepalidae. These “primitive” moths are called ghost moths or swifts. There may be 500 ghost moth species worldwide, but here in the Eddy Mountains I’ve seen only one.
